Original Soulcalibur making its way to XBLA

Looking forward to the upcoming Soulcalibur IV (dated for July 29th)? There was some good news from the Namco Bandai Editor’s Day yesterday and that was the game that started it all, the original Soulcalibur making its way to XBLA! The good news is the game with be getting a face lift with HD graphics and will include local play, the bad news? There doesn’t seem to be any online play over XBLA as of yet. Come on Namco, make it happen! There is no current date announced besides “summer” which is a little vague.

Online play would be a cool addition but even without it this is going to be one of the best XBLA games yet hands down.
Best of all it’s not a scrolling shooter or a puzzle game! Imagine that.

YES!!! I for one hope this leads to as many DC ports/upgrades as possible… shame it’ll leave out the mission mode, but I hope they’ll add that later as an expansion (one can dream).

SC1 was an extremely solid game that I kept playing until I got SC2 for the GC. If they can do multiplayer over live for Street Fighter, they ought to be able to do it for SC as well.
