Eternal Sonata

Platform: Xbox 360 – Developer: Tri Crescendo - Publisher: Bandai Namco
Genre: Role Playing – 1-3 Players

Reviewed by EarthViper

Introduction:
In perhaps an unexpected twist, the Xbox 360 has suddenly become the recipient of a barrage of Role Playing games. In two weeks time, three RPG’s have landed on the 360 and while the first two left much to be desired; RPG fans and 360 owners alike had high hopes for the third. Tri Crescendo’s anticipated Action RPG Eternal Sonata arrives on the heels of a highly praised demo, but does the final product deliver the goods, or continue the string of disappointments in the Role Playing genre?

Best of luck, Andy Edwards

Friday, September 28th, 2007

If anyone’s noticed the lack of posts on the Front Page lately by Andy it’s because he’s moved on to a position at Advanced Media Network. Due to his new role at AMN he can no longer dedicate himself to our blog but he will be remaining on staff as an Administrator and will be around as often as time allows I’m sure.

So first off, congrats Andy on your new position!

Also, for the rest of you, this means someone or likely several people are going to be needed to pick up the slack so if you’re interested in being a part of the front page staff, and are serious about the position, start getting those applications ready.

Halo 3 Smashes Records

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

Microsoft has revealed that Halo 3 has earned roughly $170 million in day one sales for the US alone.  With over 1.7 million pre-orders in the US, Halo 3’s launch has been marked as the biggest entertainment launch in history.  These figures exceed Microsoft’s original predictions of $155 million for first day sales.

Halo 3 has also broken a Xbox Live record as well.  Over 1 million Xbox Live users played Halo 3 in the first 20 hours, making Halo 3’s launch the “most active Xbox Live gaming day in historyâ€? according to Microsoft.

Microsoft must be happy with Halo 3 so far, are you?  Do your best to express your opinion of Halo 3’s launch without any spoilers in our forums!

Thanks to Mr Bigins for the news!

Clive Barker’s Jericho Demo Out Now

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

Prepare to get your creepy-gothic-shooter-fright on, as Clive Barker’s Jericho is now available on Xbox Live in the form of a demo. That is, unless you’re in Germany or Asia, in which case no game for you. The download is about 885 megs in size.

Feel free to share your opinions on the demo on the forums. I wish I could, but I’m stuck on campus all day. Literally. I won’t be back in my apartment until bed time. Talk about suck.

Good news for anyone who bougfht the game and had a faulty disc.

The Wii and DS Must Really Print Money

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

Nintendo is now the second most valuable Japanese Company. They are only behind Toyota.

ds-prints-money.gif

“Nintendo Co Ltd roared past Canon Inc to become Japan’s second most valuable tradable company behind Toyota Motor Corp this week as investors bet demand for its Wii and DS machines will remain strong into the critical year-end shopping season.”

This feat is pretty incredible if you ask me. Nintendo is more than deserving of this. They made electronic gold when they released both the DS and the Wii. Way to go Nintendo!

Saints Row 2 Screens

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

Tired of all the Halo 3 talk lately? Well then leave. I kid (any laughs….no? o.k.) Lets spend our last free minutes viewing and discussing these brand-spankin-new screens from Saints Row 2. The follow up to the highly successful and closest thing to a GTA killer in years, Saints Row is looking…..well the same to be honest. It still is a pretty sight. Hopefully they are working on developing a better story line to match the great gameplay mechanics cause if that’s the case, GTA IV will have some stiff competition for once. These screens come by way of MEGATONiC.
