After teasing us with some beautiful comparison shots, one shown above, Capcom has gone quiet on the development of Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. 

Well Capcom has just spilled the beans on some tasty SFII HD information.  This arcade classic remake will feature gorgeous 1080p graphics, with all the art completely redrawn by UDON Comics.  Expect to see all 17 of your favorite fighters including Ken, Ryu, M. Bison, and Akuma.  Game modes include single player taking on the CPU, classic 1 vs. 1 bouts on the same console, a helpful training mode for noobs and vets alike, and of course online multiplayer.  Awesome multi-player features run the gamut from in-game voice and friends statistic tracking to the Quarter Match Mode and worldwide leaderboards and ranking. 

All great news for sure, now I just wish Capcom would give a firm release date.  Hopefully we can expect this to be an early 08 release, until then keep checking for more info.

Capcom continues to show the love for us gamers by announcing Okami for the Wii. Released last year on the PS2, Okami was developed by the now disbanded Clover Studios and was welcomed with great reviews but not so great sales. With some beautiful graphics and gameplay perfect for the wiimote, Okami presents the story of a mythical sun god saving the world.

Fuzzyeyes, the development team working on the upcoming Xbox 360 and PC steampunk fantasy title Edge of Twilight, have launched the website for the game, as well as revealed a sneak peak of the gameplay over YouTube. Capcom follows up it’s announcement of the new Bionic Commando game by revealing the development of Street Fighter 4. This long awaited sequel should give gamers a reason to smile, even with the lack of information:

Street Fighter 4: “Development has just begun and the release of the game is more than a year away. No platforms are yet confirmed.”

Hopefully we will get some details soon, including specific platforms, until then keep checking Wii60 for an update.

Even though Halo 3 and Team Fortress 2 are tearing up the Xbox Live charts, Ubisoft hopes to breath some life in it’s online military killer app. by introducing the GRAW 2 Co-op Collection.  This new download is set to include five new co-op missions, nine multi-player maps, and nine new achievements for an extra 125 gamerpoints.

That’s right, the classic NES game is getting the remake treatment on Xbox 360, PC and PS3.  It’s also going to be bringing in the darker sort of story that is oh so popular in today’s media, where our Bionic friend, instead of saving another agent, is framed for crimes he did not commit after serving his country.  On the day of his execution, a massive bomb goes off and sets him free, and his country turns to him to help restore order.

Of course, no one cares about that.  All we care about is the gameplay.  Unfortunately, there aren’t too many details yet, but GameSpot will be updating with new information all week.  The grapple hook will be used to maneuver the environment as well as take on enemies in the most fun and creative ways.
