Here’s what was probably a long awaited title in some people’s books. Alex Kidd in Miracle World. A straight-up Sega classic, no doubt. Other than that hit on the VC, we have Burning Fight for the Neo Geo. On the WiiWare front, Gyrostarr is available today as well.

Here this week, we have Pokemon Ranch, Dig Dug, and Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa. The first 2 stand out as games that are definitely going to have at least some quality. I don’t know about Bio Miracle Booty Bokutte UPS Man Upa, though. That’s one of those Japanese titles that’s just now showing it’s face here. Pokemon Ranch may not sound incredibly exciting, but at least you can import your Pokemon from Diamond and Pearl. Dig Dug is a classic, and you all know it.

Better late than ever is a saying I use frequently. Being my absent-minded self, I forgot to post the Virtual Console and WiiWare update yesterday. My apologies to anyone who counts on them, but it’s here now. This week we have some interesting new releases. Toki Tori, for example, interests me. If you’ve ever played the Gameboy Original, you’d know it’s actually a decent puzzle title that could keep you playing for quite the while. Definitely look into it.

Nintendo’s WiiWare service was finally launched today (12th May) to North American Wii owners and with it comes 6 original titles exclusively to the service. The list and prices include:

• Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A King – 1500 Wii Points
• Lost Winds – 1000 Wii Points
• Defend Your Castle – 500 Wii Points
• Pop – 700 Wii Points
• VIP Casino: Blackjack – 700 Wii Points
• TV Show King – 1000 Wii Points

Its good to see Nintendo finally joining the original downloadable game train that Microsoft and Sony have already been riding. The service will be launched in Europe on May 20th, 2008.
